Look at all those numbers

The recommended specs are very encouraging in expecting a well optimized PC port of God of War Ragnarok. As far as Graphics cards go seeing that it will only take an RTX 2060 super or RX 5700 to run the game at 60fps at medium settings is great as a lot of more modern PC ports are requiring an RTX 3070 or higher. Keep in mind that no matter your setup, these are just guide lines, and depending on settings, you might still get a bit more or less performance.

For those of you hoping to play this on a Steam Deck, pay close attention to those minimum specs. Digital foundry once compared the Steam Deck GPU performance to an Nvidia 1050ti which is not too far off from a 1060. The Steam deck also offers 16gb of ram which should offer some wiggle room. Steam Deck compatibility isn’t mentioned on any level on Steam so until it launches, we won’t know for sure. Just keep in mind just cause it doesn’t say verified doesn’t mean it won’t run.

When God of War Ragnarok originally launched, it became the fastest selling Sony game at the time, selling 11million copy’s over 12 weeks and selling 15 million over all as of last December. The PC port drops on September 29th, 2024, on Steam and Epic. Will you be playing the PC port? Comment below.
