Well, this sucks. There is no way to sugarcoat that. If you managed to be one of the lucky ones who’ve been selected to participate in early access for Path Of Exile 2 on November 15th (I’m jealous by the way as I tried) then I’m afraid I’ve got a bit of bad news. A video has gone out on the official Twitter/X account announcing that they have delayed early access by 3 weeks.
“Hi, I’m Jonathan Rogers, game director on Path Of Exile 2. Unfortunately, I have some really bad news. ” He starts. “We have to delay early access for 3 weeks. The new date is the 6th of December.”
He continues on to describe how the game itself isn’t the issue so much as it’s mostly server-side issues that have been talking a bit longer than they had hoped. Things like accounts, backward compatibility issues for POE 1 and 2, and a host of other issues as well.
“I actually think we could have made the original launch date, but I’m no longer confident we could do it without making mistakes, and these are the kind of mistakes we just can’t let happen. So with that in mind, we’ve decided to delay”.

He goes on to detail that they will be having a live stream about all the content that will be available in POE 2’S early access in about 4 weeks, though an exact date wasn’t given. Hopefully, in the end, this delay is worth it, and they get things in order for the lucky ones that got selected to play the title in early access. Personally, I’ll be watching news on this closely.
While a release date for the full game is yet unknown, both that and early access (if you’ve been selected) will be coming to Xbox series X and S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
