The Day Before Developers Are Back…..

Well I can honestly say I never thought I’d be covering this. Fntastic, developer’s of the now infamous Kickstarted game The Day Before are seemingly trying to make a comeback. They have now posted on Twitter/X for the first time since completely deleting all of there posts.

If you’re unfamiliar with Fntastic or The Day Before, the game has been panned for being one of the biggest scams in gaming. A horror extraction shooter that made promises through CGI game trailers that even the biggest triple A developers likely couldn’t keep. Their first post reads “Once, you helped us create Fntastic through Kickstarter. Today, we need your help again to bring Fntastic back!”. You need only look at the comments to see how well this is going over.

As if that wasn’t enough their second post, which can be seen below, has an apology along with a link to their site outlining a new business plan to get the company going again in the form of yet another Kickstarter.

The Day Before developers and the game itself were panned for not only the seemingly fake trailers and presentation but just the game itself. The Day Before launched last year on December 7th, 2023 to an overwhelmingly negative 15% on Steam.

On December 11th, a mere four days after The Day Before launched, Fntastic announced their closure, stating they couldn’t afford to keep the company going due to the terrible launch of the game. Steam removed the game from sale that same day. On December 22nd the studio closed and announced that anyone left would be automatically refund. The online servers remained up until January 22nd, giving the game a total life span of just 45 days.

Do you think this developers deserve a second chance? Please comment below.
