It was just a few days since it was confirmed that Red Dead Redemption was finally going to be getting the PC port that so many had been wanting. Today, Rockstar posted on their Twitter/X account a link to the pre-order page for the game.
With the Pre-Orders now live here it has been a bit of a debate online about the pricing. Right now, you can pre-order Red Dead Redemption on the RockStar website for $49.99 USD or $69.99 CAD. For anyone who might not understand the sticker shock, keep in mind that this is a 14 year old game.
The original Red Dead Redemption launched on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 way back on May 10, 2010, becoming one of the highest rated games in history. The game has been available via backwards compatibility on Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles.
The game was finally released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch last year on October 29th. It is worth noting that the port on both these platforms did launch at the same price the PC port is this month. For anyone wondering, no word on if this would go to PC Game Pass, but Rockstar doesn’t typically launch games into the service.
